Kumar Kushal served as Chief Technology Officer for Reliance Industries Limited, the largest company in India with a market cap of $200B, where he led technology strategy and execution for Jio, a $50 billion data analytics-driven business spanning telecom, retail, supply chain management, SME commerce, credit, banking, and financial services. During his tenure, Kumar managed a $120 million budget and built a technology and operations team of over 600 professionals to deliver a digital banking and national payment system interconnecting every bank and biller in India, a transformative initiative that significantly advanced the country’s financial digitization.
Kumar holds a Master of Science in Robotics with a focus on AI from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His expertise in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive large-scale innovation positions him as a vital contributor to the Real Estate Innovation Council’s mission of advancing industry transformation.
